You’re plain wrong though in saying only Leinster & Toulouse set out to win the double each year. That’s pretty disrespectful and insulting to the likes of Toulon (2014), Munster, La Rochelle, UBB & even Glasgow! Just because they don’t quite get there, doesn’t mean their aspirations and endeavours aren’t very very real. In fact that perspective could be taken as rather arrogant, perhaps similar to the mindset in selecting the 50/50 team Leinster put out vs Munster in the URC play off a few years ago when they prioritised the 5th star and eventually lost both trophies.

You’re also wrong to state that competitions can’t be won with away draws, both Munster and Glasgow have proven this in recent years. It will be very interesting to see if Toulouse manage to prevail this year with their away ko ties? And if they do, what would that say about the Leinster meltdown and their psyche…

Every NH union is and has been WADA compliant for years, so it would always get caught. The current protocols can test as far back as 6 years. No cheat is getting through the net (makes you wonder why the boks were dragging their heels).
