Saracens confirm Rob Webber appointment
Saracens have confirmed the appointment of former England hooker Rob Webber as their new assistant forwards and transition coach ahead of next season, as reported by RugbyPass.
The 37-year-old is currently the interim head coach of Major League Rugby outfit the Chicago Hounds in the United States, but will move to London this summer once the season draws to a close.
The move is the latest turn in a whirlwind year for Webber professionally, who had just guided Jersey Reds to their first-ever Championship title this time last year. That was before the club went into administration in September, leaving Webber without a job in somewhat bitter circumstances, where he described the club's project as a "lie".
The 16-cap England hooker was snapped up by Chicago shortly after, but will make his Gallagher Premiership return following a playing career that saw him represent Wasps, Bath and Sale Sharks.
Webber will fill the void left by Juan Figallo at the StoneX Stadium, after the Argentine left the club's staff at the end of the season following ten years as a player and coach.
“I am delighted to be joining Saracens, a club I have admired for a long time," Webber said.
"I would like to thank Chicago Hounds who gave me a fantastic opportunity after the demise of Jersey Reds.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Chicago and the MLR but the opportunity to come back to the Premiership is one I could not turn down.”
Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall added: “Rob is a bright, ambitious young coach and we look forward to him becoming part of the team.
"Everyone who has been coached by or worked alongside Rob in the last few years have been incredibly complimentary not only about his attention to detail but also his people skills.”

Yeah they're away of it too. It was brought up in one of the Italian focused articles. They are performing now and trying to move out of that 'being in awe' type attitude.
Very easy to say we're good enough to put all our focus on wining this last big game of the year (this one) though, you also need to be consistent and still perform in the other games (slip up against Georgia) and not get ahead of yourself. Not think you're too good for teams like Argentina and Georgia just because theres a shift in attitude towards thinking 'were good enough to beat anybody now'. Hope they go forward from here but I think this performance is still only good enough to keep them off wooden spoon 6N position (keep them well away from the bottom mind you).

Will have a look at the game now I guess.
