Schoolboy Prodigy named in New Zealand Sevens squad

By Online Editors

Schoolboy star Etene Nanai-Seturo is set to make his New Zealand Sevens debut in Sydney this weekend after being named in the squad.

The 18-year-old St Kentigern's fullback was tipped to join the Warriors but has made the decision to stay in rugby and follow a similar path to Rieko Ioane.

His Sevens debut will be much anticipated in rugby circles after playing for three years in the St Kentigern 1st XV before playing for the New Zealand schoolboys in 2017.

"Etene is a young player with huge potential and he's enjoying his rugby - it's exciting for him and his family to get this opportunity," Sevens coach Clark Laidlaw said.

"Etene, Luke and Caleb have been great in our environment and will add a lot to our game.
