Scotland beat the United States 24-14 in Cape Town to make it two wins from two WXV2 games.

Tries from Francesca McGhie, Emma Wassell and Rhona Lloyd, plus a Helen Nelson conversion, gave Scotland a 17-0 lead after 21 minutes before the USA responded on the stroke of half-time through Charli Jacoby’s converted score.

Chloe Rollie’s try, converted by Meryl Smith, secured a bonus point for Scotland and, despite USA hooker Paige Stathopoulos powering over 14 minutes from time, Bryan Easson’s side won for the fifth successive time.

I suspect the only way Kirifi makes the ABs is if the selectors want an NZ version of Kwaga Smith. And that implies we go 6-2 or 7-1 and there is the option for one or two of the forward to cover midfield. Not impossible, but I don’t think it’s likely.
