Scotland international Ben White signs for Toulon
Scottish international Ben White has officially signed with French rugby club Toulon, a month on from the collapse of London Irish.
The talented scrumhalf, who boasts 14 caps for Scotland, will join Toulon for the 2023/2024 season after the conclusion of the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
Having previously played for the Leicester Tigers, White made a move to London Irish in 2021. However, the recent demise of the club led him to seek new opportunities, resulting in his decision to join the prestigious Toulon squad.
Born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, White's rugby journey took an interesting twist when he switched allegiances from England to Scotland. The decision was motivated by his eligibility to play for Scotland due to having a Scottish-born grandparent.
Pierre Mignoni said of Whites arrival in the port city: “At only 25 years old, Ben is already an experienced player on the international scene. Although we were looking for a JIFF player to compensate for the departure of Benoit Paillaugue, the opportunity to recruit a player of Ben White's calibre seemed obvious to us. He will bring us his speed, his technical quality and his playing intelligence. Having met him in recent days, I can tell you that he is already very excited at the idea of wearing the Red & Black colours."

Sheesh Goldie, South Africa actually lost two tests, IRE & ARG. Everyone got beaten at least twice this year so I'm not sure why the Boks are the "standard". I'd hate the ABs to follow their example. Our standard should be ABs (version 2015).
But I agree, the ABs are definitely in the B range. For me, it's a B+, the + mainly reflecting the lifting of the teams baseline from wobbly to now comfortably being able to win ugly.
Bring on 2025.
