Scotland qualify for Women's Rugby World Cup

Scotland have qualified for the Women’s Rugby World Cup following a 59-3 victory over Colombia.

Eight players shared nine tries as Scotland swept into this year’s tournament in New Zealand with a comprehensive win in Dubai in the final qualification match.

Megan Gaffney got two while Evie Wills notched her first try for her country.

Sarah Law, Rhona Lloyd, Molly Wright, Jade Konkel, Lana Skeldon and Lisa Thomson also crossed.

Bryan Easson’s side will face Wales, Australia and New Zealand in the group stages of the tournament, which starts on October 8.

There remains a culture of excuses in Australian rugby

Totally agree with this assessment. I’m a huge ABs fan but I do believe the coaches and the commentators have been delusional about where the ABs stand right now and even more delusional about the standard and quality of their players
