Scotland trio named in Glasgow's starting line-up for Connacht clash
Rufus McLean, Kyle Steyn and Sione Tuipulotu will start for Glasgow against Connacht after being released from Scotland’s Guinness Six Nations squad for the weekend.
McLean starts on the left wing while Tuipulotu shifts from outside to inside centre, with Steyn wearing the number 13 shirt.
Another of Gregor Townsend’s squad, Jamie Bhatti, will be on the bench in Galway.
Head coach Danny Wilson has still been able to name 12 internationals in his starting line-up for the United Rugby Championship match despite Scott Cummings, Rory Darge, Matt and Zander Fagerson, Sam Johnson, Ali Price and George Turner being away with the Scotland squad.
Stand-off Duncan Weir makes his first start since October while full-back Ollie Smith is also among those coming in after the former Ayr player scored a try off the bench against La Rochelle.
Wilson told glasgowwarriors.org: “We know the conditions we could face at the Sportsground and how Connacht like to play, and we’re ready for the challenge they present.
“Connacht are a side who have played well recently and are very consistent at home.
“We welcome back a couple of guys coming back to us at the end of the week from Scotland camp.”
