It's difficult to disagree with them when a player who enters a ruck with no intention to stay on his feet escapes a penalty because he hadn’t quite hit the ground at the moment he contacted an opponent ….. on the back of his head….. which is also supposed to be illegal.

If that had happened to Tom Christie you would be losing it and calling for a ban mate that simply isn’t in the spirit of the game.

If an aussie had done that to say Tom Curry, and gotten away with it, it would’ve been the apocalypse, Armageddon, people demanding the referee and all his assistants resign as well as the TMO.

That has been a penalty since 2015. Might as well throw out the rule book if referees won’t enforce it anymore

This is why world rugby is being sued. The laws demand player welfare, but when refs get paid off they don’t enforce it properly.

1) He went off his feet to dive into an aussie legitimately contesting the ball. What is the point in making sealing off illegal if the actions which lead to the ball being sealed off are not?

This series deserved a meaningful 3rd test.
