Six Nations' World Cup warm-ups to be broadcast on Amazon Prime

Amazon has announced the return of live international rugby union to its Prime Video platform in the UK this August with the Summer Nations Series.

The series will feature a total of 13 matches, exclusively available to subscribers of the streamer.

As the final international fixtures before this year's Rugby World Cup, the "Summer Nations Series" will showcase the participation of all Six Nations sides: England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Italy, and France. Additionally, teams such as Australia, South Africa (the reigning World Champions), Japan, Fiji, Samoa, Romania, and Georgia will also take part, creating an exciting lineup of fixtures for rugby fans.

Prime Video has been a prominent rugby broadcast in the UK in recent years, securing the rights to the annual Autumn Nations Series since 2021. The Autumn Nations Series, organized by Six Nations Rugby, has replaced the collection of matches loosely termed the November Tests.

The Summer Nations Series is now doing the same trick with the Rugby World Cup warm-ups games which have traditionally been played prior to the sport's flagship tournament.
