BREAKING: Stade Francais player sacked for 'gross misconduct'
Fijian winger Josaia Raisuqe has been sacked by Top 14 side Stade Francais for gross misconduct in relation to an incident in a Paris nightclub in July, it is being reported.
Compatriot Waisea Nayacalevu, meanwhile, who was also at the Les Nuits Fauves nightclub in the 13th arrondissement of the city, has received a formal warning.
The pair were already on suspension pending a court hearing after they were arrested on suspicion of drunken violence following a night in a drunk tank in the capital. Raisuqe also faces a sexual assault charge.
"Without predicting any possible consequences for judicial indictments, the club has imposed the following sanctions: the dismissal of Josaia Raisuqe for serious misconduct, and a warning placed in the disciplinary file of Waisea Nayacalevu," said the Paris club in a statement, in which it added that it, 'condemned violent behaviour of any nature'.
The duo are due in court on November 29.
Raisuqe's sacking brings to an abrupt end a troubled stint at the club. He missed the end of last season after receiving a 10-week ban for stamping on Ospreys wing Keelan Giles in the European Challenge Cup quarter-final. He missed 15 weeks of the previous campaign for a gouge on Munster’s CJ Stander.

Yeah they could have done with more grunt against France for sure. The opportunity for Lakai was good, and he was affective for 40 minutes but a full 80 was far too much to put on a debutant, losing a bit of the punch that was needed in the game be himself coming on fresh at the end.
