Steve Tandy's replacement at Ospreys announced
Ospreys confirmed on Friday that forwards coach, Allen Clarke, will take temporary control of the team following Steve Tandy’s departure earlier this week.
Andrew Millward, Managing Director, Ospreys Rugby, said:
"Allen has agreed to take up the reins as interim Head Coach while the search for a permanent replacement is ongoing.
"He is vastly experienced, at both club/regional level and the international game, and will provide leadership as the team pursues its goals for the remainder of the season. I have no doubt that he will have the full support of everybody at the Ospreys."
Tandy was sacked by the Ospreys after they exited the Champions Cup following a 24-7 defeat at Clermont Auvergne. It was the eighth year in a row that the Welsh side had failed to make it to the knockout stage.
The Ospreys have struggled in the Pro 14 this season too, with just four wins from 13 matches, and are second-from-bottom in Conference A.
Tandy won the Pro 12 in 2011/12, his first season in charge, but failed to deliver silverware after that.

There was no 9.5 player out there, on either side. Jordan probably a 7.5/8. BB maybe a 7.5 but definitely didn't stand out to deserve even an 8 let alone 9.5.
Go to comments"Survive"? "Scare?" A bit dramatic. ABs always going to win, just a matter of by how much.
The Azurri were up for it though. As expected. You can bet they were planning for this specific test for months. Let's not forget they were pipped by ENG, drew with FRA, & beat both SCO & WAL in the Six Nations in Feb/Mar this year.
A mess of a match, a good win, considering.
