The story of Toulon's missing Fijians

Former Parramatta Rugby League convert Semi Radradra failed to turn up to training at his French Rugby Union side Toulon after Christmas and his coach has reacted in a very surprising way.

Radradra had been due back at training with his Top 14 team last Thursday, along with teammate and fellow Fijian Josua Tuisova.

Toulon coach Fabien Galthie - instead of blowing his top - laughed off the incident.

He suggested that Radradra and Tuisova's absence - like is the case with all Fijians - was difficult to deal with. However, he opted to laugh it off, rather than throw a tantrum

"This is the story of the Fijians who go on vacation,'' Galthie was quoted by Fox Sports. "They are on a boat and we do not know who has fallen into the water yet.

"These are two Fijians who went on a boat on vacation. No, it's the mystery of the Fijians going on vacation. We were waiting for them this morning and they are not here.

"For the moment we do not make a [big] deal. I prefer to laugh and say that this is the story of the Fijians who go on vacation.

"When they do not come it's annoying because they are good players ... but they prefer the sun. It's hard for a Fijian to go back home ...''

Tuisova did manage to find his way back to camp later that day.

Radradra is expected back on Monday. Radradra previously walked out on the Eels in 2016, returning to Fiji.
