I am saying that Galthié has extremely limited control of the players BECAUSE the Top 14 is so powerful. The money in France comes from the local league as you obviously know.

Given these circumstances, Galthié has very limited options so he decides whatever he thinks is best for the national team. And then he will invent any excuse that comes to mind. He does not care about excuses. He does what he thinks is best.

You obviously have no history of what his the function of the French rugby coach (check the 2010s for that), his limitations, the negociations with the LNR, because if you knew, you wouldn’t write what you did, and writing it down in French won’t make it more persuasive.

Can you imagine controlling the national team when you don’t have control over the players because your employer is not in charge of their salaries?

Do you think Galthié embraced the fact that he couldn’t get his top players play more than 2 games in the 2020 Autumn Cup because of the arrangement with the Top14 clubs and overlap with the league?

Do you think he wouldn’t prefer to have everything at his disposal to make France win every competition?

Do you think he was happy to have his 42 players arrangement with the LNR questionned after the 2023 RWC? Do you think he’s happy he doesn’t have the same access to players as the other nations do?

Answering with simple phrases, not responding to any argument (or simply with a very mature « stop crying »), not much knowledge and no real sense of nuance doesn’t help your and NB’s fantasized theory.

I really thought Super 18 or whatever was going to but it. The one where you rotating playing the other nations/group, and you only had to tour the other country every 2 or 3 years or whatever. I feel like that would have been the perfect balance to bring back some spice and anticipation to those games, and obviously making having the continents together in the same comp viable.

I really hope a pacific region cup is made up, incl the Japanese etc, maybe theres a way for a Varisity All Stars or Currie All Stars team to play in a 1 or 2 month tourny. We don’t have a varisty scene but it would be a great thing if we did and hold a continental varsity cup too.

As far as atmosphere goes at the stadium I dare say it was better because of how close the game was and it gave NZ a common enemy to jeer against, the Wiley and often rascally TMO
