Ben Te'o will join England's preparations for next weekend's clash with Australia as he steps up his recovery from an ankle injury.

The Worcester Warriors centre sustained the issue on club duty last month but has been invited to form part of the England camp until Wednesday.

Joe Marler has also been named as part of the 35-man squad for the match, having served a suspension that initially looked set to rule him out of the Wallabies Test.

Marler was found guilty of striking Will Rowlands with his arm during Harlequins' Champions Cup loss to Wasps.

Harlequins successfully appealed the dates of the ban, which paved the way for him to be called up a week earlier.

Marcus Smith and Zach Mercer have, once again, been named as apprentices by Eddie Jones.
