The Rugby Paper have revealed that the one time England star will sign for resurgent French giants Toulouse, defying early rumours that he was headed to a rival Premiership side.

The versatile back who has earned five England caps to date had been linked with Bath, Sale and even old club Wasps.

Unlike teammates Ben Earl, Max Malins and Jack Singleton, Lozowski is going to a permanent basis and not on a loan deal.

One French website, Actu Rugby, are however aired a note of caution, suggesting that the signing is not yet a done deal.

Lozowski joined Saracens from Wasps in 2016, and in 2017 signed a two-year deal that will keep him at the club through to 2020.

It's good news for Saracens elsewhere however, as Billy Vunipola revealed to RugbyPass that he is joining the ranks of those staying.

Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje, Elliot Daly, Jamie George, Billy's brother Mako Vunipola, Jackson Wray, Brad Barritt and Alex Goode are all staying at the club as they head to the Championship.

Vunipola told RugbyPass: "Some boys have had to try and further their careers, as they are at the start of their careers. I’m kind of in the middle of it.

“Boys are in different situations, and I can understand that. They’ve got families and things to look after.

“From my point of view, I’m just trying to sit still and play it out, see where we end up next year."
