'There's definitely still more to come. There are boys dying to have a crack'

Kyle Steyn banished his birthday blues with a try double against Connacht and declared the future was bright for him and Glasgow.
Steyn and fellow Scotland squad member Rufus McLean both notched braces as Warriors recorded an impressive 42-20 United Rugby Championship win over Connacht at the Sportsground.
“I’m pretty chuffed, I won’t lie,” Steyn told glasgowwarriors.org. “I got a bit of a fright waking up and realising I was 28. I’m glad I can still run around with the youngsters out there.
“To deliver that kind of performance was excellent from the boys. We know that it’s always tough to come over to Connacht and to get a result, so to come away from Galway with a bonus-point win is outstanding.
“With the rescheduled games, there’s a good run of games coming up for us over the next few weeks and during the Six Nations period, so it’s a good opportunity to build on this win and get stuck into it.
“There’s definitely still more to come. There are boys who are dying to have a crack and get out there, and there’s such a great energy in the squad right now.”

And Andy Muirhead is great but his defence is so bad sometimes you can’t risk him at international level. Corey Toole almost the same. Pity.

There’s often a couple of ‘high school scholarship’, or ‘residency’ players in an All Blacks squad e.g. Reece, Taukei'aho, Frizzell etc.
New Zealand definitely gives more players than it takes. But still, I’d significantly tighten the eligibility rules - for all teams.
