Leicester Tigers and Worcester Warriors do battle at Sixways

Leicester Tigers sealed the final spot in the Premiership semi-finals on Saturday as Wasps thumped defending champions Saracens to finish the regular season at the top of the table.

The Tigers beat 11th-placed Worcester Warriors 28-23 at Sixways, Freddie Burns responsible for all bar five of the visitors' points as Bath's hopes of snatching fourth spot were ended.

Bath were unable to hold up their part of the bargain anyway, after beginning the day four points adrift of Leicester. Todd Blackadder's men went down 27-24 at Sale Sharks to end their season on a low note.

Leicester will now travel to Wasps in the semi-finals following the latter's impressive 35-15 triumph over Saracens, which featured a hat-trick for Thomas Young.

Christian Wade and Elliot Daly also crossed for Wasps, whose success kept them ahead of Exeter Chiefs and Saracens at the summit.

Exeter will head into their home semi-final in prime form, after claiming a remarkable eighth bonus-point win in succession.

Will Chudley's 69th-minute score secured the latest bonus point for the Chiefs, in a 34-20 victory over Gloucester.

Harlequins pipped Northampton Saints to sixth by claiming a losing bonus point in a 22-20 defeat at Franklin's Gardens, while Newcastle Falcons beat relegated Bristol 39-27.
