TJ Perenara hails Ardie Savea as 'better than anyone else in the world' after another superb performance
Hurricanes captain TJ Perenara has hailed openside flanker Ardie Savea as a 'freak' and the best seven in the world given the things he can do on top of his traditional role.
"Ardie's a freak, bro. He can do some things on the field no one else can do," Perenara told the media following the 47-19 win over the Chiefs.
"His ball-into-contact, his leg drive post-contact. It's probably not what people say a traditional seven does, but when you're out there doing what he's doing, he makes tackles, he gets turnovers, he hits rucks like any other seven in the world.
"But what he does on top of that, I think is better than anyone else in the world. So the way he can impact the game and change the game for us - he's been doing it for a long time I think.
Savea's consistent form this season has been a highlight of the Hurricanes' season and has been one of the shining lights of the maligned Hurricanes' pack.
TJ Perenara's sentiment was shared by many on Twitter, with many going a step further and labeling him the best player in the world right now, while one man campaigned for Savea to become the president of Argentina.
The Hurricanes' loose forward is currently the world's number one ranked openside on the RugbyPass Index, which tracks form over a 12-month period. His form on the end of year tour last year pushed him above 90 on the Index and he has maintained that since.

We can all see this problem, eh? Love the clips showing how smart opposition coaches exploit it though. Thanks, Nick.
Borthwick has obviously earned the right to expect people to look elsewhere when the sort of personal problems likely at the heart of Jones' departure occur but it's hard to believe he's, if not entirely to blame, at least most of the problem.
England seem between choices in every aspect of their play to me right now

Danie Gerber, Naas Botha, Ray Mordt, and DuPlessis, to name a few; what a team! I believe we could've won another World Cup with those boys playing in their prime.
