Toulon owner launches another astonishing rant about Savea
Toulon Mourad Boudjellal has unloaded another verbal bashing on Julian Savea.
Boudjellal first had a pop at Savea in an interview with RMC Sport “I’m going to ask for a DNA test. It is not Savea that we recreated but ‘Savéapas’. They had to change it on the plane. If I were him, I would apologize and I would go home.
“When we reach this level of play, we must apologize and leave. I told him he was released and he was no longer welcome in Toulon!”
Savea tweeted a response earlier today, saying he is “putting all the negativity behind me and heading into this week with a positive attitude.”
“Whether I am welcomed or not I am still contracted to my team and I will continue to train week in and week out with my brothers.”
Now Boudjellal has launched another scathing attack, this time to newspaper Le Parisien.
"I find his behaviour unacceptable. I went through the quarter-finals of the 2015 France-New Zealand World Cup and I always wonder if it's the same player, the same man," Boudjellal said.
"What I do not admit is that we pay him dearly. The negotiations have been very difficult, he has been very demanding and since he has been here, he is no longer. I can not think it's normal for a player paid more than 1 million euros per year to go on holiday to Fiji for a month in December...he just had to attend his brother's wedding, not take long leave," he added.
Boudjellal says he's spoken to Savea after the initial criticism.
"Oh yes. He is very nice, polite. They are very strong, with his wife, to complain about social networks. When he was in Fiji, he did not look unhappy. He tweeted that he was going to train hard. He will not be disappointed. He has a little more than a year of contract, it will be very long for him. Beyond what he thinks. I will not complain. You think he gave a little of his salary to the young Simon Moretti, who is 18, touches 500 euros a month and defended the club while he returned quietly vacation? No."
Savea's teammates and other high profile players have rallied around Savea, but the Toulon owner had a stern rebuke.
"Well, let them make a kitty to free him from his contract! That way, he can take the money and say shit to his president. It's easy to post messages, but if they had to give some of their money, they would be fewer. I want it to serve as an example."
"We do not come to Toulon as a tourist. There is enough in the region. And when you're paid a lot of money, the least you can do is give yourself.

we need a damaging 12 that takes 2 men to tackle that will take pressure off the 10 while also creating space for the 10 and 13 . Leicester is the only guy that fits the mould . The next thing is " will he be able to develop a good offload " ? .
for 13 Joey manu has more x factor then reiko and jordie put togeather . he's got one season in japan before he looks to come home . he's a dark horse but his skill set is something the All Blacks don't have . if he comes home and lights up the npc in a game or 2 , id love to see him fast tracked and come off the bench for the All Blacks and thrown into the deep end to see if he can swim . Just to see if he's worth the time and effort to develop further . We all saw how good sualii did for the wallabies and joey manu is just as good as sualii . He's safe under the high ball , a solid defender , has a master offload , and he's fast and strong .
he fits the mould for razor's offload tactics .
Plus reiko and jordie have had the 12 & 13 for how long and I haven't seen anything special from either of them .
