Glasgow have tied up Ollie Smith, Stafford McDowall and Tom Jordan on new contracts ahead of their United Rugby Championship quarter-final against Leinster.

Full-back Smith, 21, is nearing the end of his breakthrough season and scored his fifth try for Warriors last time out against Edinburgh.

Centre McDowall, 24, has made 38 appearances including 10 this season.

Versatile back Jordan only signed his first professional contract in November last year after arriving in Scotland from New Zealand and three tries in five appearances for Ayrshire Bulls has earned the 23-year-old another deal.

James O’Connor is brilliantly open about his life & career | RugbyPass Offload | Episode 36

James O’Connor joins the lads this week to walk us through his phenomenal and often misunderstood career. He talks to us about being the youngest player to line out in Super Rugby and for the Wallabies, struggling with alcohol, fame and partying, as well as playing in London, Manchester and Toulon before returning to Australia. One of the most talented players of his generation, he gives us an incredible insight into the highs and lows of his career so far and what his plans are next. Max and Ryan also cover off the Champions Challenge Cup Finals and the jubilant scenes in La Rochelle

Head coach Danny Wilson told glasgowwarriors.org: “We’re delighted that Ollie, Stafford and Tom have re-committed to the club.

“We’re really pleased with the way Ollie had developed physically with our strength and conditioning staff and how he has transferred that to the pitch with some brilliant performances recently. It’s great to see another young Scottish player come through.

“Stafford is a great leader, really popular member of the squad, and has a great worth ethic. He has improved his performances this season and we’re looking forward to having him for the upcoming campaign.

“Tom’s work ethic and drive is impressive. He’s continued his outstanding form in the Super 6 and his drive to continue to learn and develop is clear for everyone to see.
