Ugly scenes as officials jeered following Super Rugby Pacific final
Booing by fans following the final whistle has marred the Super Rugby Pacific final in which the Crusaders celebrated a remarkable seventh consecutive title with a 25-20 victory over the Chiefs.
The win not only marked the end of an era of rugby union domination but also signaled the departure of coach Scott Robertson to the All Blacks. However, the jubilant atmosphere was overshadowed by a section of angry Chiefs fans who resorted to booing, targeting the match referee and officials in particular.
The booing could be heard around the FMG Stadium Waikato when Ben O'Keeffe, Angus Gardner, and Nic Berry approached the stage to collect an award before the trophy presentation. Instead of applause, they were met with jeers and boos from disgruntled Chiefs supporters. The hostility extended beyond the officials, as even Crusaders hooker Codie Taylor faced a similar reception when he spoke to reporters on the sideline immediately after the victory over the PA system.
The reasons behind the fans' outburst was apparently in response to O'Keeffe's refereeing of the game in which the Chiefs were heavily penalised on occassion. While it is worth noting that emotions can run high in competitive sports, particularly during intense rivalries such as this final encounter, it made for an ugly post-match atmosphere.
While the behavior of a few disgruntled fans tarnished the post-match celebrations, it should not overshadow the remarkable achievement of the Crusaders. Their dominance over the past seven years is a testament to a remarkable era for the Christchurch based franchise.

No just because the personal is much better than last year. I've shown no antagonism of Crusader players, you must be confusing me with someone else.
I have critized Razor for picking players he knows occasionally?
I said I'm not surprised because of his style, he's more a grinder player like Cane, not going to show up on peoples radar until you see how bad the other choices are. This year players like Clarke have been on fire and just show a bit more.
Are you one of those posters continually taking it easy on Razor because he doesn't have his Crusaders stars available? Do you think the rugby world is going to up to him suddenly once Mo'unga returns? lol

The last recent and decent Aussie coach was Ewen McKenzie, he was undermined and forced out by a couple of slimy Aussie players who were given a free pass when they should have been disciplined.
So our history since McQueen is very checkered and it seems to make little difference whether we have an Aussie coach or a Kiwi coach. The players have been entitled for a long time and we had to hit bottom to get them back into reality and to stop thinking it is all about them.
Cheika was an OK coach but his 'go our and destroy the opposition' tactic worked for a while and then didn't.
Please give me a list of great Aussie coaches that I have missed.
