VIDEO: If you don't know who Marcus Smith is yet you should watch this
18-year-old Marcus Smith pricked many ears when he was called up to Eddie Jones training squad last week.
Smith (Harlequins) was involved in some sessions at England’s training camp in Brighton at the end of last season, as well as playing in England U20s 2017 Six Nations Grand Slam winning squad.
“He’s a good little player, takes the ball to the line, [has] a good pass selection, good running skills and [he is] a tough little guy,” said Jones.
“We need another young stand-off and we want one putting pressure on George [Ford] and Owen [Farrell]. He’s the best one we’ve seen so far.”
Due to his age and the fact that he is a relatively unknown quantity, his addition has proven quite the talking point.
However, as Jones alluded to, he's quite the talent, as this video created by Alfie Beadle demonstrates.

So Borthwick should drop Marcus Smith? He's the odd one out, forcing the rest of the English backline into a gameplay they don't know. Replacing him with Fin or Ford makes everyone more likely to succeed.
