Video - George North scores twice on rampaging Ospreys debut
By Online Editors
Two tries for summer signing George North ensured the Ospreys got the new Guinness PRO14 campaign off to a winning start, in a tight fought battle with Edinburgh at the Liberty Stadium last night.
Edinburgh earned themselves a losing bonus point in a 17-13 reverse against the North-inspired Welsh side.
The first North try came in the 59th minute, after he took the ball from Dan Evans on the right wing, before stepping infield to beat two defenders.
He bagged his second 10 minutes later, running 60 metres after the Ospreys won turnover ball inside their own 22. Sam Cross broke and a couple of passes freed up the giant wing who was too fast for the covering defender, Edinburgh's new signing Luke Hamilton.

All three were well on track to being All Blacks. They simply decided it was smarter to take the money right now rather than slog on for another 3 or 4 years waiting for their opportunity to line up.
Many AB quality players have not even got the chance to earn a cap for heavens sake, it is simply as you suggest elsewhere, better utilization of global talent to have them qualify for another nation.
The only problem is that the ABs get all the best players, mostly because they pay more, and the island nations, even the home nations, just get those that can't make it or want a bit more limelight.
