Video - 'I just wish I wasn't pulling at my shorts for about 20 meters!'

Jack Conan

Leinster Number 8 Jack Conan rues having to pull his shorts up during a 40 metre charge for the line that set up colleague Adam Byrne for a crucial try in his side’s win over Ulster in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Champions Cup.

Leinster booked a semi-final berth, running out 21 – 18 winners in an incident-strewn match in front of a packed Aviva Stadium.

Byrne’s 53rd minute try put something of a buffer between the sides in what was a fiercely tight match, putting Leinster in the lead for the first time in the contest.

However the run by Conan saw the backrow partially disrobed, ultimately leaving his posterior bare in front of the 50 odd thousand fans in the stadium and countless viewers back home.

Conan, as well as beating three defenders on the run, also managed to pull his shorts up, before throwing what would prove a scoring pass to right wing Byrne.

When asked about the run he did manage to see the funny side, telling BT Sports: “I just wish I wasn’t pulling at my shorts for about 20 meters.”
