VIDEO: Robbie Fruean explodes onto beautiful line for debut Edinburgh try
By Ian Cameron
Powerhouse centre Robbie Fruean wasted little time showing what he could bring to Edinburgh table, picking up his first try for the Scottish Pro14 side.
Fruean made the move to Edinburgh last year after an injury ravaged time at Bath. The 6'3, 106kg centre looked back to his explosive best against the Dragons, picking a beautiful line in the 75th minute.
Despite the Edinburgh win, new headcoach Richard Cockerill wasn't pleased.
“It’s a great result, great five points but I’m disappointed with how we played. We played poorly at times but did enough to win the game.
“Credit to the players on that but we are a better side than the way we played and I’m disappointed.”

The Black Ferns 7’s have been without Captain Sarah Hirini now since Dec 23 in Dubai where she suffered a bad ACL injury - hopefully she is on the road to recovery for Madrid and Paris. Now also have Tyler King and Shiray kaka on the Injured List but the Team still found a way to win in Singapore and claim the overall Title.
