That said, FRA didn’t dominate the breakdown in the first test. The ABs dominated all stats except the scoreboard. Not only did they have 3 tries rubbed out but fluffed several multi-phase goalline opportunities. We had territory 62% & possession 62% & our attack stats were off the chart.

Interestingly, in the 2nd test, despite getting flogged on the scoreboard, FRA held its own statistically. This, of course, may be due the ABs putting the game to bed by HT & not needing to chase it. This test was the only one where FRA was competitive in territory 54% & possession 50%.

In the 3rd test, with 8 new starters, covering 10 positional changes, it took the ABs until HT to find it’s feet. It was arguably our weakest (untested) team v FRA’s strongest. After HT we shut FRA down & our bench brought it home. Statistically we dominated territory 67% & possession 64% (98% in last 10).

A lot of positives so far.

And tbh, I can’t remember the last time Scooter did dumb stuff. It feels like ages ago.
