Wade equals Wasps record in Worcester win, Sarries hammer Bath

Christian Wade claimed a first-half double to become Premiership leaders Wasps' joint-leading try-scorer of all time in a 40-33 bonus-point win over 14-man Worcester Warriors and Saracens dished out a 53-10 hammering to Bath.

Wing Wade, the leading try-scorer in the league, scored a superb solo try and finished clinically just before half-time to join Kenny Logan on 79 tries for Wasps, who recovered from a slow start to draw level at 19-19 at the break.

Will Rowlands also went over for the leaders after Bryce Heem's early score put second-bottom Worcester in front, with Josh Adams crossing twice in the opening 40 for the Warriors at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday.

Worcester had proved to be more than a match for Dai Young's men, but the pivotal moment came five minutes into the second half, when Heem was sent off for taking Willie le Roux out in the air.

Le Roux landed awkwardly and did not return after going off for a Head Injury Assessment, but was able to watch on from the bench as Wasps took control with tries from Alapati Leiua, Josh Bassett and Brendan Macken.

Biyi Alo and Jackson Willison went over late on to earn two bonus points for spirited Worcester, who are nine points clear of bottom side Bristol, as Wasps moved five points clear at the summit.

Third-placed Sarries turned on the style with their Six Nations stars back in the side, scoring eight tries to blow Bath away at Allianz Park.

George Ford did little to enhance his chances of securing a British and Irish Lions spot, with Owen Farrell far more impressive as the Premiership and European champions ran riot in the second half.

Jamie George, Alex Goode and Sean Maitland touched down in the first half, with England wing Anthony Watson scoring play-off hopefuls Bath's only try.

Schalk Brits, Brad Barritt and Billy Vunipola added further tries, while Chris Ashton claimed a brace as ruthless Sarries laid down a marker. Farrell scored 13 points from the tee.
