Wales make 15 changes to their team to face Ireland
Wales have named a team showing 15 changes for Saturday's final World Cup preparation game against Ireland in Dublin, recalling captain Alun Wyn Jones to the starting line-up..
He will pack down on Saturday with Jake Ball in the second row with Aaron Wainwright, Justin Tipuric and Ross Moriarty comprising the back row.
Wyn Jones, Elliot Dee and Tomas Francis are the starting front-row for the game at the Aviva Stadium.
Tomos Williams and Rhys Patchell are named at half-back with Hadleigh Parkes and Jonathan Davies partnering at centre.
Josh Adams, George North and Leigh Halfpenny form the back-three for Wales. On return from Dublin, Wales will depart for Japan on Wednesday, September 11.
”This is our final preparation match so it is important we get enough rugby into us, get rugby ready ahead of our RWC opener against Georgia which is just over two weeks away," said Wales head coach Warren Gatland.
"It is important we hit the ground running in Japan and we give the players enough time on the field.
"Saturday is the first time these players would have taken to the field as members of the RWC squad, it has been a big week and it is a big opportunity for players to put their hand up and secure spots for the starting XV in Japan."
Ken Owen, Nicky Smith and Dillon Lewis are named as the front row cover with Adam Beard and Josh Navidi completing the forward contingent. Gareth Davies, Dan Biggar and Liam Williams provide the backline cover.

My faith in what?
Will it magically make me think that Pep, Gatland, and Jones have gotten better with age? What I’ve seen of it so far certainly hasn’t had that effect.
To be clear, are you admitting you’re wrong about Pep?
Go to commentsI wouldn’t think those names have anything to do with it. It is obviously hard just by fact of the numbers that succeed at it.
I’d say Petia is a completely different athlete, and it matters not at all how they perform playing rugby. What positions did they try out for? I don’t think he’s played rugby for well over a year now, can’t remember him in SR last year, but his form fell off a cliff compared to how he played as a youngster, so you haven’t missed out. Obviously still got by on pure ability. It’s very easy to look at the NFL with stary eyes but I’m not really sure how much ‘special’ is needed at all for most positions/players. JP though was very special when he started out, much like how Joseph was last November.
