Wasps winger Josh Bassett’s move reportedly a done deal

Josh Bassett on the move?

Josh Bassett, the Wasps man who Charlie Morgan from the Telegraph described as 'the most underrated all-rounder' in the Premiership looks set to jump ship.

Reports from a number of reputable sources including The Rugby Pod, are linking the 25-year-old with a move to Northampton Saints.

Northampton Saints coaching consultant Alan Gaffney clearly sees the winger as a fit in his plans to save the floundering Saints.

Bassett played for Bedford Blues who play in the RFU Championship. After being promoted from the Bedford blues academy in 2010, Bassett soon became a regular starter and soon made a name for himself. He was heavily linked with a host of Premiership teams after becoming a prolific try scorer for the Blues.

On 3 April 2013, it was announced on the Wasps website that Bassett had signed for Wasps for the 2013/14 season. He would join fellow England U20 such as Tommy Bell, Nathan Morris and Alec Hepburn with whom he played at the junior World Cup last summer

The winger has made multiple appearances for the England Under 20's side, including a trip to South Africa for the 2012 IRB Junior World Rugby Championship.
