Watch: Beauden Barrett turns on serious afterburners in brilliant individual try
Beauden Barrett became the first New Zealand player to score four tries against Australia as the world champions retained the Bledisloe Cup in style with a 40-12 drubbing at fortress Eden Park.
Barrett was instrumental when the All Blacks ran riot in the second half to beat the Wallabies in Sydney last weekend and the two-time World Rugby Player of the Year made history with another masterclass in Auckland on Saturday.
His third of the night was something special as he dummied through the Wallaby front line before turning on the afterburners to split two cover defenders in half in a demonstration of superior speed. The brilliant individual effort was trumped by a team one in the 68th minute when Barrett finished off his fourth of the night on a long sweeping movement after dynamo Damian McKenzie ripped through the middle of the Wallabies defence.
The All Blacks retained the Bledisloe for another year as Cheika's men are forced to go back to the drawing board in what was an improved Wallaby performance, especially at set-piece.

All three were well on track to being All Blacks. They simply decided it was smarter to take the money right now rather than slog on for another 3 or 4 years waiting for their opportunity to line up.
Many AB quality players have not even got the chance to earn a cap for heavens sake, it is simply as you suggest elsewhere, better utilization of global talent to have them qualify for another nation.
The only problem is that the ABs get all the best players, mostly because they pay more, and the island nations, even the home nations, just get those that can't make it or want a bit more limelight.
