CJ Stander sweeps dressing room after victory

Munster had their big names back for yesterdays 39-16 victory over Cardiff at Thomond Park.

One of those making their seasonal debut was CJ Stander, in the process making 20 carries and putting in one of his many impressive performances.

It was somewhat of a must-win fixture for the Red Army, having been hammered away to Glasgow the previous weekend, so you could imagine after the game there may have been cause for celebration.

Perhaps there was but not before Stander stayed back to sweep the dressing-room floor after the remainder of the team had gone home.

Well, the pack was dominant in H2. The scrum was immense. We lost 4 lineouts but 3 in a row when McAllister came on. Plus Lio-Willie didn’t even make it on the paddock.

According to quoted stats JABs should have won this game but they don’t show the poor NZ scrummaging which conceded several penalties or their steadily weakening line-out turn overs or poor option taking. JSA won by 8 points only but deserved to win by 20+, they were that much the better side !!!

A safe series win despite only winning two halves though, still need to improve a lot.

Enjoyed the direct attack this game rather than the ‘I’m asking to be crunched’ round the back plays from the two Barrett’s in 1 and 2.

Solid from the pack, Bower may have just redeemed himself towards the end? I was crying out for Ross to start with. Kirifi was clinical all game and could prove a great addition as a squad man in future.

They can ditch the Jordan experiment of hanging around rucks though, leave that to Tele’a, Narawa and Reece.

France industrious but lacking quality yet again.

New Zealand U20 player ratings vs South Africa | World Rugby U20 Championship final

NZ were certainly well outplayed. Their scrummaging was horrible and conceded several penalties which gave SA the game effectively. Dropped far too much ball and line-out got worse as the game wore on after initially looking good. SA should really have won this by 20+ and the final 8 point margin flattered a disappointing effort by the JABs

Proper baller when he is on it. Elite positional understanding.

Possibly the only 7’s player to break in to our national team in modern times.

The lads knackered though. A long session in and out of injury. Farrell doesn't usually carry injured players. Could bite him yet.

Think you’re a bit confused, BOK didn’t change his view at all (other than having award the try due to a clear grounding originally).

He said some half thoughts which I can understand would confuse you or someone not familiar with him but I’m pretty sure he was consistent with what he asked to be reviewed (his assistant also misunderstood what he was saying/terminology used).

Yes always liked Keenan’s style, and he might be getting on a bit now, but he looked a difference class to those around him.
