Irish winger Jacob Stockdale completed a double in his side's win over Racing in emphatic fashion, scoring a stunning try in a similar fashion to his 'Stock-chip' against the All Blacks.

Ulster came out with a fast pace, scoring the first two tries to take an early 13-0 lead. Racing worked their way back into the match through tries to Viri Vakatawa and Simon Zebo to reduce the gap to 16-10.

Early in the second half, Ulster used a switch play on a midfield scrum to get Stockdale a one-on-one opportunity. He beat the first man to the outside before streaking away down the touchline. With the fullback closing, Stockdale chipped over the top back in-field where a handful of Racing defenders looked to have it covered.

A wicked bounce fell into the lap of Stockdale surrounded by swathes of Racing defenders, who was to close to the try line to stop.

Stockdale's double propelled Ulster to a tight 26-22 win, after a tense final period where Racing missed opportunities to score, which kept Ulster's hopes a finals qualification alive.

Ulster remain in second place in the Pool, three competition points behind Racing despite having the same win-loss record. In an all-Irish sweep, Munster claimed a big win over Gloucester while Leinster beat Toulouse. Both sides now sit atop their respective pools in control of their destiny.
