Watch: Jantjies reaches milestone in Lions win, Bulls bully Sharks
Elton Jantjies surpassed 1,000 Super Rugby points as the Lions beat the fast-finishing Jaguares 47-39, while the Bulls outmuscled the Sharks 37-14 on Saturday.
Springbok fly-half Jantjies became the fifth player to reach the scoring milestone and finished with 17 points to help his Lions come out on top in a high-scoring affair.
The 28-year-old was one of six players to cross in the first half as the hosts cruised into a 47-13 lead by the 52nd minute, only to allow their opponents to rally during a sloppy finish to proceedings.
Gaspar Baldunciel, Matias Moroni and Joaquin Tuculet all touched down in the final quarter, but Juan Cruz Mallia missed one of the conversion attempts to leave Jaguares without a losing bonus point.
In Pretoria, the Bulls completed a clean sweep of fellow South African sides and went top of the Conference thanks to a dominant display.
Handre Pollard masterminded the victory with 22 points, converting two of three tries as well as kicking five penalties and a late drop goal.
Rosko Specman's second-half double added to Jesse Kriel's first-half try for Pote Human's men, while Jeremy Ward and Daniel Du Preez crossed for the visitors.
The beaten Sharks now sit second in the South African Conference after suffering a second successive defeat.

Happy for Asher Opoku-Fordjour but why oh why is he the only new face, Borthwick didn't have to change 50% of the team but surely another 2 or 3 squad guys could have been given the chance to show what they could do? What can we possibly learn from this game other than we can beat Japan with a strong team.... hold the front page....!!
