Watch: Joey Carbery pulls out sublime behind-the-back pass during surgical second-half performance

Munster's outhalf Joey Carbery put on a surgical second-half performance against Gloucester at Thomond Park, slicing up the visitors by scoring one try and setting up two more in the 36-22 victory. It was touches like this that had the home crowd in raptures all afternoon, en route to a thirteenth straight home win.
It was a career day for Carbery on the European stage, showing the class that had him earmarked as Sexton's successor from an early age and earning man-of-the-match. He was lethal from close range, picking holes in the Gloucester line almost at will and finished with a personal haul of 16 points.
Carbery and Munster were however aided in their attacking performance after Gloucester were reduced to 14-men around the half-hour mark when Danny Cipriani was red carded for making contact with the head during a tackle, which took away the contest.
The decision brought the ire of fans and players alike with Saracens No 8 Billy Vunipola tweeting 'another game ruined'.
They had already spent 10 minutes down to 14-men when Tom Savage was yellow carded in the 16th minute.
Munster will be disappointed with a final 20 minutes which saw the hosts receive two yellow cards themselves, allowing the visitors earn some respectability on the scoreboard by scoring the final two tries to close a 36-10 lead down to 36-22 by the final whistle.

Why are you so insistent on being wrong? Man United won in 2008 (beating Chelsea in the final). In 2009 Barcelona won, beating United.

Again - you’re not correct. City won the CL in 2023, and made the final in 2021. Those are the only two CL finals they have made. With Barcelona, Pep made the semi final four consecutive times - with City he’s managed only 3 in 8 years. This year they didn’t even make the round of 16.
To re-cap, you wrote that Pep “has gotten better with age. By every measure.” There are some measures that support what you’re saying, but the vast majority of the measures that you have highlighted actually show the opposite.
I am aware Les Kiss has achieved great things in his career, but I don’t care what he did over ten years ago. Rugby was a different sport back then.
I think your take on Gatland is pretty silly. Gatland was without Edwards in the 2013 and 2017 Lions tours and managed to do alright. You’ve also not addressed Eddie Jones.
I agree wrt Schmidt. He would ideally be retained, but it wouldn’t work to have a remote head coach. He should definitely be hired as a consultant/analyst/selector though.

lol u really need to chill out lad. Kiss and Schmidt would both be great members of the coaching set up in 2025, but it would be ridiculous to bank on either to retain the head coach role until 2031.
