WATCH: New Zealand claim unprecedented feat over the rest of the rugby world

From the 'news that will surprise absolutely nobody' file, New Zealand are the most dominant nation in the rugby world.

However, it's now official.

It's not just the feats of the All Blacks that have cemented this place at the top. With the Black Ferns winning the Women's Rugby World Cup last weekend in Belfast, New Zealand now hold every world championship that World Rugby has.

The All Blacks have held the Webb Ellis Cup since 2011, NZ won the World Rugby Under 20 Championship in June, and the Black Ferns Sevens and All Black Sevens currently hold the respective cups in the abbreviated form of the game.

The fact that the All Black Sevens are still champions may come as a surprise to many. However their World Cup win in Moscow in 2013 was way back when NZ Rugby actually cared about the men's Sevens programme.

Since then, the All Black Sevens have faded dramatically - failing to progress through the knockout stages of the Olympics and win a tournament on last season's circuit.

However, this is the first time (in the professional era at least) that one nation has had every single major international trophy in their cabinet.

The doors of said cabinet won't need to be potentially opened until May of next year, when the Sevens World Cup takes place in San Francisco.
