Watch: Ollie Devoto and Santiago Cordero combine with incredulous 'football skills'
Exeter Chiefs midfielder Ollie Devoto has pulled off an incredulous piece of finishing, putting 'football skills' to great use to chip the ball into his lap following a last-ditch offload from Santiago Cordero.
Exeter scored the first try of the match following a Sale turnover, a deft cross-field kick found it's way into the path of a flying Cordero who had to fling the ball back in-field as he was dragged into touch. Devoto on the inside then finished the job with his footwork and tight-rope finish.
The Chiefs built a 15-0 halftime lead but Sale fought back with Sam James going over from close range from a flat pass from Faf de Klerk.
Sean Lonsdale’s try represented the only points the Chiefs managed after the break, to stretch the lead to 20-7 before a long-range try to Sale replacement Will Cliff closed the gap to 20-14 after some smart hands from Rohan Janse van Rensburg in the lead-up.
Exeter held on to triumph 20-14 and record a 12th win in 15 league outings this season while Sale dropped to eighth on the ladder with their seventh loss of the season.

Ben Smith you really make some good points in this article, the Springboks were not close to perfect and good still beat the All Blacks, imagine if they were as good as they were against France what a hiding the All Blacks would have gotten… maybe another Twickenham drubbing
Go to commentsIt is a good argument to keep the Rebels for one more year but also isnt this just opening the door as well for keeping them beyond 2025. If they can create some sort of financial stability in the next year and if their performances lift as they have this season then how would RA even cull them after that? It might be the most cost effective decision at this stage and perhaps many people are guilty of keeping relationships going because of the cost to decouple but then again when does that ever work out well?
