Sensational offload and chip over the top in single move
By Peteso Cannon
While the game was effectively over as a contest from the off, the fans in Christchurch were treated to some scintillating rugby or 'razzle-dazzle' as Justin might say.
The below clip shows quick hands, moving the ball from left to right with relative ease. Alarmingly for Counties, space appeared to be in abundance for Canterbury considering it was only the twenty-fifth minute.
Bateman ultimately crosses the line in the below clip however all credit must go to Rob Thompson who not only supplies the initial pass out the back-door but supports his pass to then put in a chip over the top for Bateman to collect and score.
In a game that looked like men against boys, Canterbury went on to win by seventy-eight points to five.
