Watch: The stats behind Malcolm Marx's perfect 10 rating
Despite coming out on the losing end against New Zealand on Saturday, Malcolm Marx can afford to be inwardly quite pleased with his individual performance.
Controversial New Zealand Herald writer Chris Rattue was so enamoured by Marx's performance that he awarded him a 10/10 in his player ratings article.
"Magnificent. Loads of brutal runs, turnovers, tackles. Helped make a try, scored another. Unbelievable game - a new world star?" said Rattue.
In every facet of the game, Marx impressed, from his tally of 11 tackles to his metres made, the stats don't lie.
His opposite number Dane Coles was equally impressed with Marx's performance, so impressed that he completely over-estimated Marx's turnover count.
"They were quite brutal at that breakdown. I think Malcolm Marx made about 10 turnovers," said Coles.
"He played bloody well tonight. His lineout was good, he got some good carries and a lot of turnovers. He's got a big future in the game."
