'Springboks by ten… we win but we don't put teams away like the All Blacks'

It does not get any easier for Wales this weekend following their 54-16 loss to the All Blacks, as they host world champions South Africa.

Wayne Pivac's squad will be invigorated by the arrival of some Gallagher Premiership stars that were unavailable against New Zealand, but at the same time he has more problems to contend with after captain Alun Wyn Jones injured his shoulder again.

South Africa would also have been paying close attention to last Saturday's match, as it meant they were displaced by the All Blacks at number one in the world rankings.

When, where and how to watch the match

The match will kick-off at 17:30 (GMT) on Saturday November 6th at the Principality Stadium and will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime.

Head-to-head

While Wales have a modest total of six wins against South Africa, with 29 losses and one draw, five of those wins have come in their last seven encounters. Both losses, however, were the most crucial of all, as they were the quarter-final of the 2015 World Cup and the semi-final four years later, where the Springboks' edged a tight affair before lifting the Webb Ellis Cup a week later.

bet365 have the Springboks as the 4/11 favourites to win this match, with 4/1 odds that the winning margin is between 1-5 points. Meanwhile, there are 11/2 odds that Wales win by 1-5 points.

Prediction

Following the All Blacks' emphatic win over Wales, South African journalist Mark Keohane expects the Springboks to come away from the Principality Stadium with a victory as well. However, he does not expect it to be such a resounding result, predicting a ten point margin.
