A day game of Super Rugby is something of a rare throwback in New Zealand and the Crusaders and Highlanders made the most of it in Christchurch on Saturday afternoon. The Crusaders won the first half but when Waisake Naholo scored two quick tries after the break – including some classic 'sign him up Manchester United' footwork – the Highlanders hit the lead and looked odds on to break the hosts' unbeaten season. It's fair to say New Zealand wasn't entirely impressed with their first view of the 2017 British and Irish Lions. They struggled to cope with a ragtag army of players, including Warren Gatland's own son.
