Simon Zebo, club teammate of Scotland’s Finn Russell, has left a series of cryptic Tweets after the Scot returned to Racing 92 from a training camp in Edinburgh following a “breach of team protocol”.

The flyhalf is now not going to take any part in the preparations ahead of Scotland’s trip to Ireland on February 1st for the opening game of the Six Nations.

Earlier today, a Scottish Rugby post simply stated: "Scotland team spokesperson: “Stand-off Finn Russell will play no further part in preparations for Scotland’s Six Nations opener against Ireland, having been disciplined for a breach of team protocol during the week’s camp in Edinburgh. He has returned to his club."

While nothing has been revealed as to the reason why Russell has been disciplined, Zebo left a series of Tweets after the news was announced, culminating in him telling Paddy Power “I got a story for ye”.

From the former Ireland international’s perspective, this ordeal with Russell has meant the flyhalf may be available for the Parisian outfit’s trip to Castres this weekend, whilst also being unavailable to face his country the week after.

No one is sure whether Scotland will reveal any details pertaining to this punishment, but Zebo clearly has knowledge of what has happened, either in Edinburgh or Paris, and it may make for some interesting reading.
