Bio

Aled Davies is a talented scrum half who currently represents Saracens in the English Premiership. He's also played for Llanelli, the Scarlets and the Ospreys.

Born 19 July 1992, Aled Davies entered the Scarlets age grade set up during his youth. After excelling for the region's representative sides, he made his competitive debut for the senior team in 2010 against the Leicester Tigers in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

From here, Aled Davies went on to have a successful career with the Scarlets. Between 2010 and 2018, he made 71 appearances for the Welsh province and he won the PRO12 (now the United Rugby Championship) title with the side in 2016-17. During this period of his career, Aled Davies also made almost 50 appearances for Llanelli.

However, at the close of the 2017-18 season, Aled Davies left the Scarlets and signed for the Ospreys, their local rivals. But, after only making 13 appearances for the Ospreys between 2018 and 2020, Aled Davies left the side and signed for Saracens in the English Premiership. He's stayed with the English side ever since.

In addition to his distinguished domestic career, Aled Davies has also excelled on the international stage. He began to represent his country in 2006, when he first played for the Welsh U16 side. Following this, he played for the Wales U18 team at the 2009 U18 Six Nations Championship.

After being selected for several wider squads, Aled Davies made his debut for the Welsh national team in 2017. Since, he's been capped almost 20 times by his country and was selected for their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign.

Still only young and with a lot left to offer at the highest levels of the game, we can't wait to see what else Aled Davies can achieve before he hangs up his boots.
