FEATUREBio
Alexandre Roumat is an imposing flanker who currently represents Toulouse and the French national team.
Born on 27 June 1997, Alexandre Roumat is the son of former French rugby union international Olivier Roumat. Unsurprisingly, he followed in the footsteps of his father and took up the sport at a young age.
He started his youth career at Hossegor in 2007, before moving to Capbreton-Hossegor and eventually signing for Biarritz. Then, in 2015, he made his professional debut for Biarritz.
Since, Alexandre Roumat has played for many of France’s top sides. He represented Biarritz from 2015 to 2017 before moving to Bordeaux, where he stayed until 2022. Since, he’s represented Toulouse. During his time with Toulouse, he’s won the Top 14 title twice and the European Rugby Champions Cup once.
Added to this, Alexandre Roumat finally made his debut for France in 2024.
Still young and with plenty more to prove in the game, we can’t wait to see what else Alexandre Roumat can achieve.
