Bio

Anthony Jelonch is a French rugby union player who has shown great strength as a flanker throughout his career. Jelonch represented Castres between 2016 and 2021 before signing for Toulouse in 2021. He made his debut for the France national team in 2017.

Born in Vic-Fezensac, France on 28 July 1996, Jelonch began playing rugby in his hometown at the age of eight. He then began his professional career in 2016 after joining Castres. Displaying impressive skills across all positions in the back row, he became a regular for Castres and stayed with the club until 2021, when he signed for Toulouse.

In 2017, his talent was recognised and he earned a spot in the French squad ahead of the 2017 tour to South Africa. His test debut was in a match against the All Blacks in 2017 and, in the following year, he secured a spot in the team again for the 2018 Six Nations. He then spent some time away from the team but returned in 2020.

Since, he’s won both the European Rugby Champions Cup with Toulouse and the Six Nations Grand Slam with France. During the 2023 Six Nations, Jelonch suffered an ACL injury. However, he recovered in time to feature in the Rugby World Cup and went on to play in four out of France's five games.

Anthony Jelonch has had an impressive career so far despite facing multiple injuries. We look forward to seeing much more of the highly skilled flanker.
