Bio
Antoine Dupont is one of the finest scrum halves to ever play the game. A legend of French rugby, he's spent his entire career in the country, where he represents both the national side and Toulouse.
Born 15 November 1996, Antoine Dupont began playing rugby at the age of four in the village of Castelnau-Magnoac. In 2011, he signed for Auch as a junior. However, after three years with the side, Dupont left the club when they were relegated from the Pro D2. As a result, he signed for Castres in the Top 14.
Between 2014 and 2017, Antoine Dupont had several successful seasons with Castres. During this time, he made more than 60 appearances and scored 44 points as the side regularly pushed for honours.
In 2017, Antoine Dupont left Castres and signed for French powerhouse Toulouse. Since then, he's made more than 50 appearances for the side and he's helped them capture both the Top 14 championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup.
In addition to his stellar performances at the domestic level, Antoine Dupont has also become a staple of the French national side since his debut for the team in 2017. In 2021, Dupont won the World Rugby Men’s 15s Player of the Year award. Additionally, he has also secured multiple Six Nations Player of the Championship wins.
In 2024, he briefly switched to rugby sevens. He then brought home the gold medal at the men’s rugby sevens tournament in the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris.
With his best years still ahead of him, we can't wait to see what else Antoine Dupont can achieve for Toulouse and France.
