Bio

Chris Farrell is a world class centre who represents Munster and Ireland. He helped Ireland capture the Six Nations Championship Grand Slam in 2018.

Born 16 March 1993, Chris Farrell grew up hoping to play professional football. However, when he started playing rugby at the age of 11, his talent for the game immediately shone through.

His professional career began at the age of 18 when he represented Ulster for the first time in 2011. However, with opportunities with the province limited, Chris Farrell left Ulster and signed for FC Grenoble in the French Top 14. Here, he became an established starter and he made more than 70 appearances for the French outfit before he returned to Ireland with Munster in 2017.

Since 2017, Chris Farrell has been an ever present for Munster and he's now been capped 50 times by the province. Since he signed for Munster, the side has also regularly qualified for the knockout stages of the PRO14 (now the United Rugby Championship). He finished as a runner-up with the side in the 2020-21 season.

Ever since he returned to Ireland, Chris Farrell's impressive form has captured the attention of Irish selectors. In 2017, he gained his first ever call up to the Ireland squad. Since, he's amassed more than 15 caps, including appearances in the Six Nations Championship and at the Rugby World Cup. He was also a member of the Ireland squad that captured the Six Nations Championship Grand Slam in 2018.

Still young and with his best rugby ahead of him, we can't wait to see what else Chris Farrell can achieve in the game.
