Emily Tuttosi

A giant on the international stage, Emily Tuttosi currently plays as a hooker for the Canada women's rugby union team and Exeter Chiefs Women. She made her first international appearance in 2018. 

Born on 21 September 1995 in Souris, Canada, Tuttosi received international recognition early in her career. In fact, it was while studying at the University of Calgary that she was chosen for the Canada U20s team—she captained the squad in 2016. 

In 2018, Tuttosi accomplished two milestones: making her international debut for Canada and moving to England to join Loughborough Lightning. She represented the side during the 2018-19 Premier 15s season.

By 2019, Tuttosi had become known as a formidable player. She received an offer from Exeter Chiefs Women and signed up for the team's inaugural season. The Chiefs have described Tuttosi as a 'crucial part' of the squad and stated that her performances have been pivotal to the team's success.

In recent years, Tuttosi has proved herself as a powerhouse of Canadian rugby. She was selected for the 2021 Rugby World Cup squad and her performances did not disappoint. Her highlights included scoring a hat-trick during Canada's opening match against Japan, as well as a brace against Italy.

Since then, Tuttosi has continued to excel. First, she was named in the 2022 World Rugby Dream Team of the Year. Next, she scored a try during Canada’s 50-17 triumph over the United States at the 2023 Pacific Four Series.
