Hope Rogers Bio

Described by her club as a 'barnstorming prop', Hope Rogers currently plays for the United States women's rugby union team and Exeter Chiefs Women. The loosehead prop earned her international debut in 2013. She made her first appearance for the United States sevens team in 2017.

Born on 7 January 1993, Hope Rogers started playing rugby as a sophomore in high school. Her talent was quickly spotted and she joined the Mid-Atlantic All Star-Team. She contested the U19 National All-Star Championship in her first year and captained her team to victory during the 2010 tournament.

As the recipient of the Kevin Higgins College Scholarships, Rogers attended Penn State University in 2011. Just two years later, she made her first international appearance for the Eagles.

From here, Rogers continued to impress and she was subsequently named in the squad for the 2017 Rugby World Cup (she also competed in 2014). In the same year, Rogers debuted for the United States Sevens team at the 2017 Sydney Women's Sevens.

Fast forward to 2022 and Rogers signed with Exeter Chiefs Women and competed in the Premiership. She scored seven tries during her first season and started in the final. These performances led to her being included in the 2021-22 Premier 15s Team of the Year.

In addition to the Premiership, Rogers was selected to represent the United States at the 2021 Rugby World Cup. Here she contested all four of the Eagles’ fixtures—the team crashed out of the competition after losing to Canada in the quarter-finals.

Added to this, Rogers also played at the 2022 Pacific Four Series, where she scored a try in America's 16-14 win against Australia. She replicated her feat during the following two series, crossing the line in their opening match against Canada in 2023 (a 50-17 loss) and scoring a brace against Australia in 2024 (a 32-25 victory).

A few months later, Rogers was selected for the Eagles’ test against Spain. She played a pivotal role in the match, scoring two tries and securing a hard-fought victory for the USA

From the international stage to the Premiership, Hope Rogers is a player who always delivers in the big games. We look forward to seeing her next win.
