Jordie Barrett Bio

Jordie Barrett is undoubtedly one of the finest players to ever lace up a pair of rugby boots. A utility back who is widely regarded as one of the best centres in world rugby, he’s been a staple of the New Zealand team since he made his international debut in 2017.

Born 17 February 1997, Jordie Barrett is the youngest of four brothers. The other three, Beauden, Scott and Kane, also became professional rugby players.

His professional career began in 2016, when he represented Canterbury for the first time. After just one season, he began to represent the Hurricanes in Super Rugby. Since 2020, he’s also made a couple of appearances for Taranaki. From 2024, he will play for Leinster in the United Rugby Championship

A force on the domestic stage, Jordie Barrett has reserved some of his finest performances for the All Blacks, where he’s often appeared alongside his brothers, Beauden and Scott. To date, he’s been capped more than 50 times by his country and has helped the All Blacks finish second and third at the Rugby World Cup (2023 and 2019 respectively).

Still young and with the world at his feet, we can’t wait to see what else Jordie Barrett can achieve on the world stage.
