Luke Cowan-Dickie Bio

Born 20 June 1993, Luke Cowan-Dickie was a star from a young age. He made his first team debut for Exeter Chiefs at the age of just 18.

During his time with Exeter Chiefs, Luke Cowan-Dickie earned several notable honours. He won the Anglo-Welsh Cup in 2014, before claiming two Premiership Rugby titles and the European Rugby Champions Cup

In 2023, after making more than 150 appearances for Exeter Chiefs, Luke Cowan-Dickie left the club and signed for Sale Sharks. He’s remained with the side ever since.

After representing England at U18 and U20 level, Luke Cowan-Dickie was drafted into the 50-man training squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Later that year, he made his international debut in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match.

By 2016, Luke Cowan-Dickie had become an established member of the international side and he was part of the England team that won the Grand Slam in the Six Nations Championship.

Although he then suffered from a few injuries in the coming years, Luke Cowan-Dickie was called into England's 2019 Rugby World Cup squad and he even made an appearance in the final. He also played for his country at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

Thanks to several strong performances for England over the years, Luke Cowan-Dickie was called into the squad for the 2021 British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa. He played in all three tests as the Lions lost a closely-contested series. In 2025, he was once again named in the British and Irish Lions squad for the team’s tour of Australia

Still only young and with many years of top class rugby ahead of him, we can't wait to see what else Luke Cowan-Dickie can achieve in the game.
