Bio

Maxime Lucu is a notable scrum half who began his career with Biarritz Olympique before moving to Bordeaux Bègles in 2019. He has also represented the French national team in the same position since 2021.

Born in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France on 12 January 1993, Maxime Lucu began playing rugby at a young age. His impressive kicking ability saw him commence his professional rugby career in 2014, when he started to play for Biarritz Olympique as a scrum half.

In 2019, Lucu moved to Top 14 club Bordeaux Bègles and in 2021 he was called up to the French test squad ahead of the Six Nations. During the 2024 Six Nations he scored his first try for France in a match against Wales.

With a great career in rugby union so far, we anticipate seeing more great things in the future from this hugely talented scrum half.
